Calcifer

Esta es mi interpretación de Calcifer, el demonio del fuego de la trilogía de Diana Wynne Jones "Howl's Moving Castle" (El castillo ambulante de Howl). En mi imaginación Calcifer es algo diferente, ya que en el libro nos lo describen de un modo distinto, pero como vi la maravillosa película de Ghibli antes de leerlo, cuando me decidí a hacerlo quise que Calcifer tuviera el aspecto que Miyazaki había elegido para él. 

Tanto la película como la trilogía de libros son maravillosos, así que si no habéis tenido la ocasión de verla o leerlos, os los recomiendo. 

Como véis Calcifer está hecho en fieltro, cosido y pintado totalmente a mano, y lo hice como regalo de cumpleaños para un amigo al que le gusta mucho el manga y el anime.

This is Calcifer, the fire demon from Diana Wynne Jones "Howl's Moving Castle" Trilogy. In my mind Calcifer is a bit different because in the book she describes him in a different way. However, as I watched Ghibli's film long before than reading the books, when I decided I wanted to make him, I chose to make Calcifer like Miyazaki had created him. 

The film and the books are amazing, if you haven't had the opportunity of watching or reading them, I highly recommend it. 

As you can see Calcifer is made of felt, sewn and painted by hand, and it was a birthday gift for a good friend that likes manga and anime a lot.
