El hada de las letras (Letter Fairy)

Este año he trabajado con niños muy pequeños con dificultades de lenguaje, y descubrí el gran problema que supone mantener su atención mientras trabajas con ellos el desarrollo del lenguaje. Todo lo que había utilizado hasta el momento no servía para nada, los cuentos los distraían muchísimo y para ellos es imposible atender a un adulto durante media hora sin ningún material de apoyo. Buscando algo que pudiera ser útil, descubrí a Gingermelon y sus adorables patrones. Así que sin mucha idea de costura, adapté su patrón de Campanilla para hacer un Hada de las Letras con la que pudiera enseñar a los pequeños los fonemas. El resultado como veis es diferente, pero aún así ha funcionado muy bien con los niños... Ahora voy a por un Duende de los Números, a ver qué tal. 

El hada está completamente realizada a mano y se puede utilizar como marioneta de dedo.  Mide unos 16 x 11,5 cm y tiene algunos detalles hechos con abalorios. La cara está pintada con pintura para tela y en la parte frontal del vestido tiene un pequeño pedazo de velcro al que puedes unir la letra con la que vayas a trabajar. En la parte posterior un trozo de goma elástica sirve como soporte para el dedo.

This year I've worked with little children with language difficulties and it's very difficult to atract their attention while you're working language development with them. Everything I had tried till then didn't work with them. Tales distract them too much but it was imposible for them to mantain attention without any support material. 

Looking for something useful, I discovered the lovely Gingermelon patterns. So without many sewing skills I adapted her Tinker Bell pattern to make a Letter Fairy to teach phonemes to the children. As you can see, the result is different from hers, but it works just fine with them... Next I'll try an Elf of Numbers. 

The fairy is completely handmade and you can use it as a finger puppet. It's about 16 x 11,5 cm and it has some beads details. Its face is painted with clothes paint and in the front part of the dress it has a little piece of velcro to attach the letter you're working with. In the back it has a elastic band piece to insert your finger.
